After many shaky nights of endless research comparing options, I've finally settled on, and built, a website.  It's a start.

Finishing this site is roughly equivalent to the feeling of victory that overwhelmed me when I climbed to the top of Mount Alvernia, on Cat Island.  206 feet (63 metres) up.  And you'd better believe I celebrated when I got there and had a chance to enjoy the highest point in The Bahamas, made slightly higher by the old monastery, The Hermitage, perched up at the top.

Even though I would have liked to have found detailed evidence of victorious freed Africans instead of, well, a monastery, I can appreciate a place built by hand and dedicated to complete solitude.  I stood still, let the breeze move, and thought, "now this would be a place to write."
